Top 5 Cosplayers I follow

In 2014 I got the cosplay bug… I even almost finished one! Turns out I made the dress front backwards, which was minor really and I never got the wig or shoes finished, but it was pretty fun nevertheless. I’d like to finish that one, but I’d pretty much have to start from scratch now. In 2018 I have an event which doesn’t require a cosplay, but I feel like it needs one, so I am gonna jump back on the train! Help?

Anyway, these are some of the people I follow who make me want do it- create a cosplay. It’s a lot of work and I have a hard time completing projects. So, motivation is hard to come by, but sometimes watching the social media of these fine people is helpful.

Here they are, in no particular order:

Yaya Han
Who doesn’t follow Yaya really? In my world, she is the queen of cosplay. I first discovered Yaya (though I didn’t know it was her) many many moons ago when I ran across a google search picture of her Lulu (FFX). It was amazing! She blew my mind back then. Then I rediscovered her just 4-5 years ago when a friend went to Hal-Con and was fangirling over having met her, so I checked out her pages and I recognized her!

Then I got to fangirl when I met her at Fan Expo in 2014. Pretty amazing experience. Also found out she is a fellow April baby

Shushuwafflez
I started following Shushuwafflez after another friend started following her on Facebook. Completely random really. I saw her in her Bombshell Wonder Woman at ECCE 3 years ago and didn’t have the guts to go talk to her. Two years ago I saw her again at ECCE and had to go say hello. She was wearing her NoFlutter Saturn (at that point was my favorite art series by NoFlutter).

Anyway, fantastic lady who has mad skillz.

J. Hart Design
I won’t lie. When I first started following J.Hart Design I debated on gender. Not that it matters, honestly. He has an amazing eye and makes fantastic cosplays. The size of the gowns he makes are just phenomenal! He recently started collaborating with McCall’s to bring us cosplay patterns! Seriously, check him out!

Joker’s Harley
I started following her through Harley’s Joker (best Joker ever!) I love her style. She does some great, curvy art that has a bit of daring to it. Playful, I think is the

Mew_21 Cosplay
I found Mew_21 Cosplay through NoFlutter. Seems I do that a lot… Anyway, she did an armored Neptune and I fell in love! She also did a lovely Aurora (my favorite Disney Princess), and that definitely didn’t.

Who do you find motivation and inspiration from? I’d love to hear it (cause I’m gonna need it!)
