Happy Birthday, Sailor Moon!

Happy Birthday, Sailor Moon!

March 7th, 2017 marked 25 years since Sailor Moon first aired in Japan. I’m a “born again” Moonie, meaning I adore Sailor Moon and I have for about 20 years (that just made me feel ancient), however, I did go through a phase where I thought I was “too old” for it. It’s a shame really, that any of us ever believe that, but I fell for it just the same. But no more! I…

Wish You Could Be a Better Artist? Draw!

Everyone needs a hobby. For some of us creating vibrant illustrations is the hobby of choice. It’s a great creative outlet and a way to put your vivid ideas on paper. It’s a relaxing pastime that can help relieve stress and could lead to creative opportunities down the road. That said, it can be a very personal and sometimes intimidating form of expression. The Importance of Pre-Orders and Subscriptions

The Importance of Pre-Orders and Subscriptions

The importance of pre-orders and subscriptions. ~By Steve Henderson At Heroes’ Beacon we place many of our orders months in advance. This applies to comic books, games, toys, statues and many other novelties. While games are easier than comics to get restocked, sometimes the initial wave is all we will have…

Price adjustments to comics and trade paperbacks

As of January 7th, 2015 all new comics and trade paperbacks will have a price adjustment to reflect the current exchange rate. This is not an adjustment we do lightly or something we wanted to do. That amount added on…
