Code of Conduct

Heroes’ Beacon has always been about creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for gamers new and old where players could come and share their passion for their favorite pastime. One of our goals was to include a play area where people could meet and try new things and we’ve been very pleased to see this space so frequently put to use.

That said, we must all work together to create a welcoming environment in which every participant, spectator and customer can have fun and feel welcomed.

The following is expected from all players, customers and staff:

Honesty & Fairness and Good Sportsmanship – Please keep things fair and honest. Cheating at organized tournament events will result in disqualification from the event, and repeated cheating may result in a player being barred from event participation. Displays of poor sportsmanship are also frowned upon and may result in a player being asked to leave or being barred from events.

Teaching & Learning – Heroes’ Beacon’s play space encourages people to try new games. That said, it falls on us all to help other players learn and create an enjoyable experience for them.

Garbage – All players are expected to clean up after themselves. Continued refusal to do so may result in players being refused table space.

Foul or Abusive Language – As Heroes’ Beacon caters to players of all ages, foul language should be avoided. Abusive or excessive language will result in the player being asked to leave.

Discriminatory and Demeaning Language – We want to do our best to be welcoming to everyone. Discriminatory and demeaning language will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to sexist, racist and homophobic language.

Bullying – Bullying is absolutely not tolerated. Bullying other players or customers will result in you being asked to leave.

Theft – Theft of property is not tolerated and will result in a permanent banning from the premises and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Improper attire – Wearing clothing bearing obscene or demeaning statements is not permitted. You will be asked to change into something more appropriate if you wish to participate in in-store play.

Personal Hygiene – Players are asked to maintain a proper level of hygiene. If hygiene is causing an issue for other players or customers, you may be asked to leave to freshen up.
